Mr. Matthew B. Seiyefa was born on 11th October, 1960 at Ekeremor in LGA of present day Bayelsa state. He attended LA Primary School, Ekeremor before proceeding to the prestigious Government College, Ughelli, Delta state for his secondary education. In September, 1978, Seiyefa was admitted to read law at the University of Jos, Jos, Plateau. Upon graduation in 1982, he attended the Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos and was subsequently called to be Nigeria bar.
Seiyefa did his NYSC at the school of Islamic and Legal Studies, Kano consequent upon his completion of the NYSC, he enlisted into the Nigeria Security Organization (NSO) in July, 1984.
Seiyefa served in diverse areas of the service, culminating in his command leadership of Osun, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, Ekiti, and Niger states, at the national headquarters level, Seiyefa variously served as director in the critical directorates of intelligence and operations.
Seiyefa has attended various professional and strategic courses locally and abroad, including public policy analysis (Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, Badagry, Lagos), strategic leadership course (National Institution for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, leading to award of MNI) and International Leadership course (Harvard University, Boston, USA).
Between 2015 and 2018, he was also the Director, Institute for Security Studies (ISS), Abuja, where his demonstrable leadership qualities and passion for scholarship brought great visibility and vibrancy to the institute. It was from the institute that he was appointed as Acting Direction-General of the Department of State Services in August 2018. He subsequently retired from the service on the 14th of September, 2018.
Seiyefa thus brings to NDU his varied exposure and robust understanding of national security management, strategic leadership and statement and statecraft. His managerial experience and keen appreciation of the dynamics of governance and resource utilization will be critical in this new environment.

VCSamuel Gowon Edoumiekumo

Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo, a Professor of Economics, Banker, Financial Analyst, Public Affairs Commentator on the Economy and National Development, is the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Niger Delta University. He brings to the office, a deep understanding of the university system and its politics having served as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration); Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences; Acting Head, Department of Economics; Deputy Director, Directorate of Consultancy, Entreprenuership, Research and Development (DOCERAD). He has also served as a member of various University and ASUU Committees, including that of the University Governing Council and NUC accreditation teams. A good team player, he also has sound financial management practices and discipline, garnered from his brief stint as a banker and financial analyst at First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) where he started his career before moving to academics. Prof Edoumiekumo obtained B.Sc, M.Sc degrees in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt and double PhD degrees in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt and University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria (ICEN); Nigeria Economic Society (NES) and Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). An erudite scholar, he has contributed widely to knowledge and scholarship through his numerous books, chapters in books, monographs; papers presented in conferences, seminars and workshops, and scholarly articles in reputable national and international journals.

DVC AdministrationDonbebe Wankasi

DonbebeWankasi, a professor of Industrial Chemistry is the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the Niger Delta University. A very active member of the university community, he had served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Dean, Faculty of Science; Head Dept of Chemical Sciences; member of several University Committees including that of the University's Governing Council. Prof Wankasi obtained his B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Port Harcourt, and did Post Doctoral Research at the Vaal University of Technology, South Africa. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Public Administration from the ObafemiAwolowo University. Ile-Ife. A very prolific writer and productive scholar, he has contributed immensely to the chemical sciences literature through his over 65 scholarly articles in reputable local and international journals, besides books and papers presented at conferences and workshops. A recipient of many honors and awards (International Scientist of the Year 2004, Leading Scientist of the Year 2005, and Achievement in Science Award 2005) by the International Biographic Centre, Cambridge, England; he was also listed in Marquis Who is Who in Science and Engineering, USA in 2004. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON); Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN); Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN); and the American Chemical Society (ACS) amongst others.

DVC AcademicsProf. Allen Agih

Allen Aziba-OdumonsiAgih, a professor of Educational Management is the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the Niger Delta University. An epitome of authentic humility that has endeared him to the university community, he brings to the office, a rich and impressive track record of university administration and community service, having served as Director, Linkages and Advances; Ag Head, Department of Educational Management, and chairman/membership of about forty (40) university committees and twenty-five (25) community service committees. . He also had a brief stint as a banker and classroom teacher. A thorough-bred teacher and educationist, Prof Allen Agih was educated at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (Rivers State College of Education by then) where he obtained the NCE certificate and B.ED degree in Political Science with honours as the best graduating student from the Faculty of Social Sciences, and from the University of Port-Harcourt, where he obtained the M.ED and PhD degrees in Educational Management and Planning. A member of many learned and professional associations he has contributed widely to knowledge and scholarship through scholarly articles presented in local and international conferences and workshops and published in reputable national and international journals, besides chapters in books.

Ag. RegistrarEffua E. Berepubo

Mrs. Effua E. Berepubo is the Registrar of the Niger Delta University.
Mrs. Effua Ebimiere Berepubo, FNIM hails from Odi in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. She had her tertiary education at the College of Science and Technology (CST) Port Harcourt and obtained the Higher National Diploma in Business Administration (Management Major) in 1979.
On completion of her National Youths Service in 1980, she started her administrative career with her alma mater as a pioneer Registry staff of Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Port Harcourt when the Institution transited from College to a full-fledged University and served in various Departments and Units.
While in RSUST, she proceeded to the University of Liverpool, England, United Kingdom under University Staff Fellowship Programme and attained the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Degree in 1985. She rose to the rank of a Principal Assistant Registrar in RSUST, before transferring her services to Niger Delta University as one of its pioneer Registry staff and served in various capacities. Later in 2003,she was promoted to the rank of Deputy Registrar in the University.
In the course of her career progression, she attended several local and international conferences and belongs to notable professional associations within the country and beyond.
She also served creditably as Secretary to the College of Health Sciences, a position she occupied until her appointment as Acting Registrar in 2016. Following her satisfactory performance during the period of acting, the University Governing Council in December, 2018 confirmed her appointment as substantive Registrar of Niger Delta University with effect from April 28, 2016.

LibrarianJoyce Chinyere Oyadongha

Joyce Chinyere Oyadongha is the Librarian of the Niger Delta University. Before her appointment, she had been head at various times of the Cataloguing and Collection Development Sections of the University Library. She had also served at senior positions in the library units at various tertiary institutions before joining the University in 2004. She was educated at the Abia State University, Uturu, where she obtained the B.Sc degree in Library Science (BLS) in 1996; the Master of Science degree in Library Science (MLS) in 2007 from the Imo State University, Owerri and later a PhD in Library and Information Science from the University of Uyo, Uyo. She is a member of the Librarians Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN); member Nigerian Library Association (NLA), amongst others. She is a member of several university committees; has attended various professional and management workshops and conferences and contributed widely to the field of library and information science through scholarly publications in reputable local and international journals.

Ag. BursarSeth Woulf Tueridei

Seth Woulf Tueridei is a Bursar who is being appointed as the Acting Bursar, Niger Delta University. He has previously held several positions in Bursary Department. He was Head, Students' Accounts, Salaries & Wages and Final Accounts Sections. He was the Special Assistant on Accounting Matters to Former Accountant-General, Bayelsa State. Before joining the University in 2004, he was one time Business Development and Operations Manager in Omega Bank Plc. He had also worked in Modant Marine Ltd as an Accounting Executive and Accountant. Mr. Seth W. Tueridei is a part-time Lecturer in Niger Delta University and Lecturer at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Study Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. He holds a B.Sc degree in Accountancy from Rivers State University of Science and Technology and a M.Sc degree in Accountancy from Imo State University. He is an associate of ICAN and a member, Nigerian Institute of Management. He has attended local and overseas workshops/conferences to broaden his professional and managerial skills. Had served on several committees and a member in some University Committees.
